Two Physical Stone Yards, Not Just a Website

Most "suppliers" you find online are trading desks with a polished website and no inventory. Wharton is the opposite. We operate two physical stone yards in Foshan, the heart of China's luxury stone trade, and clients are welcome to walk either yard in person or by live video call.

Having two yards is more than a marketing line. It shortens lead time (the slab you select is already in our building), keeps quality control honest (you see the exact material on video), and removes a layer of markup that middlemen between quarries and trading desks would otherwise add. That is what factory direct actually means here.

200+ Stone Varieties & 40+ Categories in Stock

Our live inventory spans more than 200 luxury stone varieties across 40+ product categories — full slabs, cut-to-size tiles, dining tables, tea and coffee tables, feature-wall panels, kitchen islands, vanity tops, and accessories. The catalogue moves fast: new blocks arrive weekly and slow-moving lots are cleared, so the live list is always more accurate than any printed brochure.

Browse the current stock on our products catalogue page, where each SKU is shown with real photos of the actual slab — not a stock image. If a variety you need is not listed, ask: we hold trading relationships with quarries in Brazil, Madagascar, Norway, India, and Turkey and can source to order.

Custom Fabrication — One Workshop, Full Process

Custom fabrication is where Wharton separates itself from slab-only suppliers. Our in-house workshop runs the entire process, so a single team is accountable from slab to crate. There is no outsourcing, no "third-party factory," and no finger-pointing when a tolerance is missed.

📐
Precision Cutting
CUTTING
5-axis CNC bridge saws cut slabs to exact dimensions and contours — straight edges, curved profiles, teardrop and live-edge tabletops, sink and faucet cutouts. Tolerance held to ±1 mm.
🪚
Edge Profiling
EDGING
Full-bullnose, half-bullnose, bevel, ogee, mitered waterfall, and chiseled-live-edge profiles. Edges are shaped by hand by craftsmen who have been doing this for a decade or more.
Polishing & Finishing
POLISHING
Seven-grit polishing to a mirror gloss, plus honed, leathered, brushed, and flamed finishes. For translucent feature walls we handle thin-panel lamination to glass and LED integration.
🔗
Bookmatching & Lamination
BOOKMATCH
Successive slabs from the same block are opened and bookmatched for continuous veining across feature walls and islands. Mitered joints and laminated edges for a heavy, monolithic look.

Want to see what comes out of this workshop? Our projects gallery shows real installations — backlit feature walls, organic dining tables, and kitchen islands — all fabricated and packed in this building.

Three-Layer Quality Control

QC is the single most under-rated part of buying luxury stone. A hairline crack, a resin patch, or a thickness deviation of 2 mm can ruin an installation that took months to plan. We run three independent QC checks, each by a different person, on every order.

1
Material Selection QC
Before a slab enters an order, a senior selector inspects it for cracks, color consistency, veins, and structural soundness. Defective slabs are rejected at the yard — they never reach the workshop.
2
Fabrication QC
After cutting and edging, the fabricator and a separate QC inspector jointly check dimensions against the approved drawing, edge profile, flatness, and polish quality. Tolerances and finish must match the sign-off.
3
Packing QC
A final inspection before the crate is sealed: piece count, edge protection, foam bracing, and A-frame orientation are all verified against the packing list. Photo evidence is sent to the client.

Every QC stage produces dated photo or video evidence that we send to the client. If something is not right, we tell you before the crate ships — not after.

Export Packing Built for Ocean Freight

Luxury stone is heavy, fragile, and expensive. Standard pallets do not survive a four-week ocean crossing. Our export packing is engineered for the realities of FCL (full container load) and LCL (less than container load) shipping.

🅰️
A-Frame Wooden Crates
Slabs stand vertically on padded A-frames inside fumigated wooden crates — the safest orientation for transport and unloading.
🧽
Foam & Pearl-Cotton Lining
Every polished face is separated by foam sheets and pearl-cotton to prevent surface-to-surface contact and scratching.
⛓️
Steel Strap Bundling
Slabs and crates are bound with steel straps so nothing shifts inside the container, even in heavy seas.
📦
Carton & Pallet for Furniture
Finished furniture (tables, islands) is foam-wrapped, cartoned, and palletized separately from raw slabs.

For a deep dive into why each of these matters, read our natural stone slab packaging guide.

Worldwide Shipping — FCL, LCL, Sea, Air, Land

We export globally and handle the full logistics chain on our side. Whether you are a distributor ordering a full container or a designer ordering a single custom table, we have a shipping mode that fits.

We ship on FOB, CIF, and DDP terms from Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Foshan ports. Our sales team handles booking, container loading supervision, documentation (BL, packing list, commercial invoice, certificate of origin), and customs clearance support. We can also work with your nominated freight forwarder.

Six Languages, One Sales Team

Specification errors cost more than any discount can save. That is why our sales team works in six languages — English, Chinese, Russian, Spanish, French, and Arabic — so drawings, tolerances, and shipping terms are negotiated in a language you actually understand. It is also why we keep every conversation on the record: drawings, photo approvals, and packing evidence stay in writing.
